We design public and private ecological landscapes that range from a garden patch to an entire property. Planting can be done by Thicket Workshop, by the client, or by a contractor.
Plan
We help clients design and implement large scale changes on their properties. This includes work such as shifting mown fields into woodland, creating meadows, planning hedgerow planting strategies, or laying out a network of walking paths.
Consult
We work with architects, landscape architects, developers, municipalities, and institutions to assist with the design, planting, and management of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants.
Steward
We steward—i.e., edit, monitor, weed, repair—private and public ecological plantings and existing wild plant communities. This aligns with our belief that management is a key phase of design.
Coach
We advise homeowners on approaches and practices that will enable them to design, plant, and care for new or existing ecological landscapes. We offer this service both in person and remotely.
